Wackiness
We told you about a bunch of ThermaCare/Advil coupons in the main Walgreens Match-up post. They have the updated barcode on them, so if your Walgreens (like mine) doesn’t have updated computer software, they may have a problem scanning. It took awhile for me to check out, but eventually I pulled up FabuLESSly Frugal on my phone, and showed the store manager that coupons were from the manufacture’s website, and then he processed them manually. Score one for having a great relationship with your Walgreens employees
. I was polite, patient and willing to walk away from the deal the whole time. I made sure he knew that I didn’t want him to force the coupons through if he wasn’t going to get reimbursed for them. I also kept going to the back of the line after running a single transaction, without being asked so that the shoppers behind me could complete their transactions. This may not be a big deal if like me you were only running 3 transactions, but to the cashiers and the other shoppers in the store, it makes a HUGE difference! I even had a couple of shoppers thank me, stating they were in a hurry
.

Axe deals
Axe (most products) is on sale for $3.79, receive a $1 RR when you purchase one, and there was a $2/1 coupon in the 12/11 RP, make them just $.79 each!
Make sure if you purchase more than one, you buy them in separate transactions, not using the RR from another Axe product.

It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

Since I started couponing, Walgreens is the place I leave disappointed every time. Things never work out like I want them to or like the site(s) say they should. I don’t know if it is just the stores in my area of Boise, but Walgreens and couponing are rotten partners in my neck of the woods.
Same here. I over spend each and every time. I give up. :/
Which store do you shop at? I’ve had the best luck at the 24 hour one by Winco on Fairview…
I went to Walgreens this week and got 2 boxes of Therma Care Heat Patches, 2 Goody Ouchless Elastics, 2 Salonpas Pain Relief Patch, 4 packs of Peeps, a bag of Halls, a Hershey Bar, a Russel Stover Peppermint Bark, 2 Holiday pencils, and a Holiday Gel Pen. I paid $4.09 OOP and left with $3 RR. So $1.09! It only took me 3 transactions.
Walgreens does take patience but does work if your willing to put in the effort.
NICE!!! That’s fantastic!
I did the axe deal today, and did not receive the rewards. Instead it printed a catalina for $2/2 axe body products. Not sure if this is in place of the register reward or if it just didn’t print! All in all I walked away with 2 bottles of the Renu, 2 thermacare heat wraps, 2 axe deodorants, a goody hair clip, and a salon pas patch for $5 oop and left with $8 in RR. Still a good day!
That’s weird. They were clearly signed
Still a fantastic day though!!
see, I can’t find the $2/1 axe coupon in the 12/11 SS. This keeps happening to me, like all the time, and I’m going nuts!! Is it really in there? I want the axe!
Nope… it’s on page 7-8 of the Redplum. I’m SO SORRY! I’ll get it fixed right away!
Are the goody elastics printing the $2 RR this week? According to the ad it’s just the mini claw clips and bobby slides.
They are!!! I was so excited!
