It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

So I was confused on the cereal pricing. How does the price end up higher even after using coupons?
Ha ha! I don’t blame you!
Looks like it was a really really really bad typo!
I’ve got it fixed now. Thx!
Thanks!!
I heard Albertsons is doing ttv coupons starting 11/20-11/24…….thats 5 days to shop with doublers??? Really hoping this is not a rumour!
I would love for it to not be a rumor as well!! BUT, it is hard to shop with doublers even on the 3rd day with everything in my area being completely wiped out!! We have 4 Albertsons that I am willing to drive to without going completely out of my way and unless you get to them on day one of doublers the CRAZY couponers have the shelves completely wiped out of the good stuff. It is becoming hard to even use the doublers and get a great deal when all the items are gone. It is a little discouraging. I don’t necessarily blame the couponers but if the stores are going to put out doublers they need to prepare and have the shelves stocked!!
I agree Retah. Its getting crazy. I’ve had to start getting up at 5:30 and going to the store on Sunday at 6 am to get the items that I want/need. Not to mention the stores near me never get stocked till Weds when the deals are over.
Well if this isnt a rumour it would mean that you can shop on sunday for this weeks deals and then the 23rd for the following weeks deals!
Oh darn guess the add is not changing on wed. like it normally would this week! Bummer!
I remember they did this last year, so that would be awesome if they did it again!!
It’s not a rumour I have it confirmed—5 days of double fun (oh wait the kids are home. . . 5 days of tricky doubling:) )
No kidding:) I’ve done it 2 weeks in a row (trac break)–here’s to one more crazy week of doubles:)
I have had it confermed that there are ttv coupons this coming weekend but I don’t know for how long
My cashier let me know under his breath that there were going to be doubles. I almost wanted to cry. I mean, I love getting them, but I am more than ready for a week off after 3 weeks already!
HaHAHaha! I’m glad someone else said that! I gave my last two away last night. But if they bless us with them, I’m going to find something to buy…Just think how stocked we will be for tight times post-holidays!
Safeway’s price for bone in ham is 1.69lb and received a black star. Albertsons has bone in ham for 1.49lb and it didn’t get a star. Is the ham different at Safeways? My son loves ham and I will be stocking up and want the best price on a good ham.
what is a black star????
the lowest ham prices are around easter at 99cents/lb, but that could be higher next year…1.50/lb is a light stock up price.
So if they do five days of doublers will the sale change on wednesday like normal and we could use doublers those days as well?
The ad that came out today goes through Thursday the 24th. It’s a 9 day ad this time. I’m crossing my fingers for ttv coupons too. I don’t mean to be greedy but there’s a couple of items I want to stock up on for my daughter’s wedding in June. TTV coupons are making it easy to have a huge wedding for a tiny price!
I don’t see the baking mania that had Hershey chips for $1.67 wyb 5. Any deals with that?
No coupons out for the Hershey’s chips.
I added the promo… it’s not that great.
I got a MF in this last Sun paper for $1 off 2 packs of Hershey, Reese’s or Heath baking chips. Not sure which one it was in though because I cut it out. I’m in Southern Oregon area.
I got these too. I used them on Sunday with the promo of buy 10, save 3 now, save 3 later. They ended up being like 49 cents a bag after the doubles… I regret not doing it again.
Yes I got it too, Eugene area, 11/13 SmartSource.
yeah, we got the hershey’s coupon in Portland and surrounding areas…
I ordered some off of Ebay last week in the hopes of another sale on them – so I”m a happy camper right now!!!
I ordered some off ebay as well. There was also a coupon for free hershey syrup wyb 4 (?) hershey choclate chips, that I ordered in hopes of stacking the cpns.
Thank you for your comment because I just ordered mine off of ebay and says they will get here Monday!
Thank you so much ladies!
I can’t figure out how to get the .69 price w/ doubles on the Hershey’s chips. Because the coupons are $1/2, you’d need to do one of three things: buy 5 and use 2 coupons & 2 doublers =.89 each OR buy 6 (meaning the 6th one would be $2 instead of $1.69), use 3 coupons & 3 doublers = .75 each OR buy 10, use 5 coupons & 3 doublers = .89 each – still good prices. I bought some of these last week as well, so I have to order coupons on ebay if I want to do it again. Has anyone ever used this brand chocolate chips and do you like them? I’m usually a loyal Nestle girl, but I’ll give them a try when they’re cheap!
I like them but I like almost all chocolate
On America’s Test Kitchen on PBS they taste-tested better than Nestles. I’ve used them for baking and also eat them straight and I like them a lot.
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but it seems to me that if you buy four Dryer Ice Creams (BOGO) then you’d qualify for the $5 off next purchase. SO… Pay $7, get $5 off next order is like paying 50 cents for each container of Dryers! Wahoo!
I thought the $5 was off your next purchase when you bought 4 and a turkey.
what’s the $5 off your next purchase? was that in the ad?
It’s the last week of the promo they’ve been having… they don’t have prices listed, just participating items. “Purchase a Butterball Turkey and 4 participating Netsle items and receive a $5.00 catalina to use on your next transaction.”
Keep in mind that you have to buy a Butterball Turkey AND 4 items to get the $5 cat.
What is the price on the dreyers? My ad says 6.99 and bogo so they would be roughly 3.50 each when you bought 2. Am I missing something?
I added the image from my ad… I noticed that the front page of my ad specify’s my region… sometimes the prices do differ.
I just went to Alb, they said the 3.99 price was a typo, the correct price is B1G1 for 6.99. Bummer!
It’s too bad their ice cream prices are so high! Their sale price is the normal price you pay anywhere else around here – I’m in Oregon. I do know they regularly charge a lot for ice cream, because I went to buy some other items and was going to pick up ice cream and it was listed at $8.99 for a regular carton (not sure what it is anymore since they are no longer half gallons.) I ended up going to Safeway instead.
Just hit my Albertsons in Spokane, WA and the ad is wrong here too. They have big signs on the freezer correcting the ad. Their price is 6.99, B1G1…bummer! (My thighs and rear are the only ones happy about this!)
Are they still doing a turkey for a reduced price when you buy $50 worth of other stuff?
Yes, that’s right at the top…
Farm Fresh Basted Or Honeysuckle White Frozen Whole Turkeys
16-24 lbs $.47/lb
16 lbs or less, $.57/lb
Limit 1 when you spend $50.00
Do you know if the $50.00 includes the price of the turkey?
Cheryl- I have that same question!
It does not include the price of the turkey.
Thanks. Seems winco will probably be the best place for a turkey purchase!!
It is my understanding that the $3.00 off turkey coupon in the ad can be used with the .47cents per lb with $50 purchase. I also have a 10% off total store coupon from Albs that came in the mail at the beginning of November. Albs will be my holiday shopping choice this time around!
Also I checked the Winco ad and it lists turkey at .46c per lb with $50 purchase and Freddies is .69c per lb with $50 purchase.
i did this turkey deal last week. the $50.00 is before they took off my coupons. So after coupons my turkey cost me only ten bucks. so I put my groceries first which were over 50 dollars then the turkey last and it automatically changed the price to .47 cents a pound. then I handing her my coupons and I walked out the door only paying 38.00 with the cost of the turkey in there.
Thanks for the update on the doublers. I look forward to it because it looks like there is a change of plans in what we are doing for Thanksgiving. It looks like it may be at my house. So that will totally help me out. Thank you ladies for posting
Yikes! Good luck girl!
For those with a Ridley’s, at least in the Burley area, it is cheaper to get the pies there if we do not get doublers. Ridley’s has them for 2 for $7 same size pie and everything and then with the coupons it makes the pies $2.50 each. I plan on price matching at Wal-Mart. Hope this helps someone.
USe the $1/2 dreyer’s ice cream Use the TTV $2 off 3.50= $1.50 ea..WOW
$1.50 total NOT ea..Sorry
Where did you get the $1/2 coupon?
Ebay 18 for .99 cents for shipping.
Question about the Neslte and Turkey promo. If my thinking is right, you wouldn’t be able to use the $3 coupon and use coupons on the four items you purchase. So I wouldn’t be able to pair it with $1/2 nestle choc chips. Right?
Albertsons on Eagle Rd were very kind this morning, but said the Dreyers was a misprint. They honored one with a copy of the ad. Their price is $6.99 BOGO. Did anyone else have this issue?
Oh no – don’t tell me that!!! I just ordered a bunch of coupons for that.
Five M & Overland- The correction is hanging on the freezer door, so it should be 6.99. That’s great they gave you one for the 3.99.
Just a little clarification on the Hershey’s Baking chips deal. You have to buy 6 in order to use 3 coupons. The first 5 will be 1.69 but the 6th wil be 2.00. After coupons and doublers they price per bag is $.74. Still a ROCKING good deal
YAY JUS SCORED (20) $1/2 HERSHEYS BAKING CHIPS COUPONS FOR $2 SHIPPED AND I ALSO BOUGHT (5) COUPONS FOR $1.75 FOR FREE HERSHEYS SYRUP WYB 4 HERSHEYS CHIPS!!! SCORE !!!!! THANKS LADIES!
Awesome job
I got the same coupons
I did the same, but noticed it is up to $2.99, do you know what the price is for a bottle of hershey’s syrup?
I checked my albies in Meridian today and they had it for $3.29…so you would end up paying .30 for the bottle. The way we use chocolate syrup in my house, that’s a great deal!!
Hi, quick question about the bogo Marie Callenders…I tried using 2 coupons on this promo on Sunday with doublers, but my checker said they are unable to accept the coupon on a free item. I see on your post that corporate said they do accept coupons on free items, but I couldn’t find it on their corporate policy. Is it written somewhere?
That really stinks about the ice cream deal, they used to have such awesome pie/ice cream promos before Thanksgiving, I guess those are things of the past!
???On the Betty Crocker Muffin Mix $1.69 = 3.38 for 2 use 1 off 2 and double it dose that make them .69 each and is that a good price?
I would say it’s a decent price, but you would have to buy 5 to get the 1.69 price. So you could do two $1/2 and 2 doubles, then pay the full 1.69 for the 5th item which would equal out to about $.89 a piece. Or you could get 6 and use 3 $1/2 and 3 doubles and it would be the $.69 each.
I have a question on this deal……★Marie Callendar’s Fruit or Cream Pies 36-46 oz $8.49
BOGO
Use (2) $1/1 Marie Callender’s Dessert Pie 11/13/2011 SS
Final Price: $3.24 each wyb 2
Yes, you can use two coupons on an Albertsons BOGO sale – and this has been confirmed by Albertsons corporate. If your cashier gives you a hard time, kindly ask for a manager.
Can you also use doublers on this deal? just wondering. thanks if you can answer
Happy couponing
YMMV on this pie deal….I did it twice on 2 diff days this week and the first time the cashier took the 2 couponsplus 2 doublers making the pies $2.24 each, the second day the same cashier told me he was told by management he could not take the couponson the free item so they ended up being $3.24 each…still good price so i did it but would love to see in writing somewhere what the REAL policy is
I agree Julie, that is def a YMMV deal, some stores will double a coupon on a free item and some won’t, but either way they should take the coupon on a free item (especially since it is more money in their pocket!). If the store refused to double the coupon on the free item, I would totally understand because they are already giving it to you for free, but I don’t know if this is officially addressed in their coupon policy or not.
My store didn’t say anything about it at all. They accepted the two coupons and the two doubles!
So we are low on Ragu & pasta in this pre-holiday blitz. I am going for the Ragu & Barilla pasta combo that are both included in the buy 10, get $5 instant credit promo. Using the B2 Ragu, get 1 free pasta coupon I will buy 6 Ragu for $5.94 & get 3 Barilla pasta free after coupon. I’ll throw in a cool whip for 75 cents for an even 10 items. I think 67 cents per item is pretty good, especially when you are in need!!
Thank you for your awesome posts. They are a huge help.
The price you have for the Bar-S hotdogs is off. You posted:
★Bar-S Jumbo Franks 16 oz $1.50
Use $0.75/2 Bar-S Frank or Bologna 10/23/2011 RP
Final Price: $.75
BUT wouldn’t the final price only be that if you used a doubler?
Does anyone know if you can freeze the Pillsbury Crescent Rolls?
I have read that some people have been able to freeze them in the tubes without any problems but I have never tried it myself. If you don’t want to chance them popping, you can always bake them up then freeze them.
I have frozen them. I just put them in the freezer a day before I want to use them. You do have to manually pry the container open after freezing as they don’t “pop” open but it is worth it if it is something you use and it is a stock up price.
I have frozen them in the past and haven’t had any problems with them.
When are the doubler prices going to be added into this post??
Here is the link for the doublers added onto the post: http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/category/albertsons
