I always cringe when I see lice treatments on sale. The OTC stuff does not work. I work in a salon where we remove lice and most of our clients have tried one or more treatments and they still come in with LIVE bugs on their head. On top of that, most OTC lice treatments are very bad for you! Please do not use them!

It doesn’t work. Ck out http://www.headlicetodeadlice.com. That OTC is an insecticide that the lice have built up a resistance to. It gives parents a false sense of their kid being in the clear when in reality they end up getting it again (when really they never got rid of it). Olive oil works. By using it the right way. Putting poison on your kid’s head not such a good idea.
Well as I said, I work in a lice salon. I see clients everyday who have tried unsuccessfully to treat head lice at home with OTC products. Lice are resistant to the shampoos and they have been linked to cancer. Parents should definitely treat their children for lice, but all I’m saying is that there are better, more effective, less toxic treatments out there.
Hey, what works well as a preventative is Tea Tree Oil, it seems to repel the lice. You can by the actual oil in health food stores and just add a couple of drops to your shampoo…. : )

(Make sure to show them your Wellness + card or give them your phone number.)After you pay, you’ll get your receipt and on the very bottom of your receipt there will be a coupon for $7 off your next non-prescription purchase. The coupon usually expires in about 2 weeks. You can use your $7 coupon on anything except prescriptions as long as your total BEFORE tax is at least $7. I hope that helps!
