Reese’s Puffs Treats

You can mix marshmallows with any old cereal to make a fabulous treat! Here is a recipe submitted by Fab FruGAL Carolyn!

Reese’s Puff Treats
6 tbsp butter
1 bag of marshmallows
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
2 heaping tbsp peanut butter
1 box Reese’s Puff Cereal
Optional:
1/4 cup chopped peanuts
In a large bowl pour the cereal and chopped peanuts (optional) in and set aside. Butter a 9 X 13 pan and set aside. In a large saucepan melt butter and marshmallows. When that has melted together add the peanut butter, vanilla, and salt. Stir until combined. Pour melted mixture over the Reese’s cereal. Stir until it is all combined and the cereal is all coated. Pour into the buttered pan. Put some butter on your fingers and spread the mixture out in the pan and press down slightly. Cool and cut into squares! :)
Tip:
Use a sandwich baggie to butter the pan and press down slightly on the treats. Just slide your hand into it :) This makes it a lot easier! :)

  1. Those look positively EVIL! ;) I know what I’m going to make when I have a peanut butter/chocolate craving…YUM!

  2. YUM! I might have to use a different cereal though, Reese’s Puffs don’t last long in our household. :)

  3. It looks great and all, but it seems like this recipe can be done with ANY cereal. Its like Rice Krispie treats with Peanut Butter cereal. Nice job, though
