It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

Ok I have a question. How do RR’s work?? Is it something that prints up for you after your done purchasing it or is it an automatic deduction within the transaction??
It prints after your purchase is completed. It’s good on your next transaction.
And, I just found out, you can use RR in other stores since they are catalina MCs! It’s in Smith’s official coupon policy, so I tried it at my Smith’s Marketplace in Utah and it worked! They’re just like cash, you can use them on anything. They come in handy
For Reals? You can use the RR in any store just like cash?
Not all stores will take them, although they ARE a manufacturer coupon!
Not ALL stores, like Amber said. You have to check their coupon policy. But Some stores (like Smith’s) take them like cash no matter what store logo they have printed on them. And Smith’s isn’t nearly as picky with what catalinas they take. As long as they aren’t expired (or as long as all requirements are met) they’ll likely take them.
Where did you find the rightgaurd to have the $2 RR?
AHHH! I was having major issues with our back end as I was doing match-ups. I ended up having to copy & paste from a word doc & it looks like that copy & paste deal got messed up. Where it said $2 RR it should have listed the B1G1 FREE coupon from the RP-5/1!! I’ve updated it. Sorry for the confusion!
I’m also wondering about the right guard RR. Is there anywhere to see all available RR in a week? sometimes they are not all in the ad. Oh and there is still a good BOGO right guard coupon it expires 5-31-11. Is the deal listed w/ $2RR for the deodorant? because the was is $5?
Katie-see my comment above!! Sorry!
On the right guard body wash deal do we use 1 coupon or 2? Not understanding how it will end up free
Walgreens is offering a B1G1 free promotion. The coupon is also a B1G1, so both end up being free. So,
Body wash 1 Body Wash 2
Wags Buy 1 Wags 1 Free
Coupon 1 Free Coupon Buy 1
I hope that didn’t confuse ya more lol….Was trying to think of a visual way to put it since I kno a lot of people are confused with the B1G1 promotions/coupons…
Sorry bout that, I had the example spaced out more so you could see what I meant….
Thank you for clarifying! I was confused with BOGO.
I am new to ‘couponing’ and it is really exciting to see how you can purchase products absolutely FREE! I am all ears…….and eyes!!!

Walgreen coupon policy states that you must have 1 item per coupon used, hence the filler Carmel.
thats if WAGS has all that in stock! i’m getting tired doing all the planning then hardly finding anything in stock!
I know what you mean! I run into the same problem.
No kidding! I was there at 8:15 this morning and my mom and I got the last two boxes of Ritz Crackerfuls, one for each of us. I felt bad when someone came around the corner looking for them about 10 seconds later.
I’m starting to think that Walgreens is intentionally keeping very limited stock of their free items and just using them to get people in the door.
They don’t offer rainchecks on register rewards, do they?
McKenzie,
No, they do not give rainchecks on RR items (asked last week). I am now convinced you are correct when you say you think Walgreens may purposely keep very limited stock on items that end up being free.
Last week, they had Tylenol Precise Pain Patches on sale for $7.99, plus a $3 register rewards prints out. Well, I had $5 off manufacturer coupons, and $3 off Walgreens coupons.. so I was going to get them for FREE plus a $3 RR for each on I bought. Well, by Sunday afternoon last week, all 8 Walgreens stores in my town were sold out (I called, I didn’t drive to 8 stores! lol!). Each store told me to call back on Thursday because their weekly trucks come in on Wednesday night every week. Well, come Thursday every single store said that none came on the truck, and that the main warehouse must have been out of them. Of course THAT deal ended yesterday (Sat 05/28). Well, today I went to 2 different Walgreens to get a few things I wanted from this weeks deals, and BOTH stores had shelves stocked with the Tylenol Precise patches!!! Funny, they ALL told me on Thursday that none came in on the truck, but somehow 2 out of 2 of the stores I went in today had them the day AFTER the sale and RR deal ended!!! The next truck doesn’t come til this Wednesday night, so they HAD to have had them in the back the whole time last week when they told me they were out.
I have had that suspicion for a while, but this particular case proved it as far as I am concerned! I could never figure out why they couldn’t figure out to stock up on the items they know are going to be on sale the following week.. but now I know they do it on purpose. I think it’s a pretty dumb tactic, because everyone is getting fed up with shopping there, so they are only hurting themselves in the long run! Ok, I am done venting about Walgreens now! haha!
8 transactions? You must go to a VERY friendly Wags, the LH and 5 mi store would never let me do that.
They SHOULD. The trick is to go to the Cosmetics Counter. This is typical throughout the country. If no one is there, let someone know that you have multiple transactions, and you were wondering if they’d open up the cosmetics counter. Like I said, this is very normal. I’ve visited Wags over a 2,000 mile radius with the same results.
Good luck they never have all products in stock so my plan always gets messed up. Let me know how it works!!!!!!
Walgreens worker took the last ritz crackerful right when I was trying to get it! Made me mad but I gave her my coupon! If I couldn’t use it maybe she could and hopefully she will remember me the next time I am in there with lots of transactions with all my coupons! Ha!
What is register rewards? Do I sign up for this or is it a loyality card? Thanks.
No sign ups required, no card required, nothing required
They just print when you make the appropriate purchase
I’m still trying to figure out how to do Register Rewards most efficiently. I’d like to buy a lot of Register Rewards items tomorrow in as few transactions as possible.
If I buy multiple Register Reward items of different types and different brands, will more than one reward print? For example, can I buy the Ritz Crackers and the Illy Coffee together and get both rewards?
Yes!! You totally can! But then you can’t turn around and do the transaction again, it has to be a different one.
Thanks!
I was thinking I would do the same register rewards transaction twice but keep all of my rewards and then use them on non-rewards sale items. So I’ll do a total of three transactions.
So I have a B1G1 free on the Right Guard body wash can I use it in conjunction with the Walgreens deal and get both free????
Yes, but good luck finding it. I was out early this morning (Sunday) and the Walgreen’s closest to me was out. I don’t seem to have much luck at the really good Walgreen’s deals. They must not keep much stock on hand.
I have a question for anyone out there, if I have a B1G1 for right guard body wash and Walgreens is offering them at B1G1 for them also so does that mean that I can get 2 for free?
I was wondering about the aquafresh deal. The in ad shows the pic of the one type aquafresh and the coupon for .75c is for the training toothpaste. I’m new at this so I was wondering if that would work out.
Nope, It won’t work. I went to two different Walgreens and checked!
FYI – the AppliedNutrition Triple Calcium 90 ct $10.00 is actually a moneymaker since the June coupon book has a $5.00 off ticket in there.
What June book are you referring to that has a $5 off coupon for the Calcium? I checked the little June 2011 pamphlet (good May 29-June 25th), and there’s nothing in there for it. Thanks!
i dont know about the june book but there is a $1 off coupon in the box
The Walgreens coupon book that they have next to the stand for the weekly ad has a bunch of coupons in it. One of the coupons is for *any* applied nutrition supplement (not just calcium). It was for $5 off. Bottom left hand page, but I can’t remember which page.
So I went to Walgreens this morning hoping to beat the crowds. WRONG!!! The shelves were emptied, by only two people. They came in at 9pm asking the manager to hold the products, they said couldn’t. So then they came back at 11 pm walking around the store until midnight came. WOW!! I love saving money, but I have a life too. I looked a little harder and was able to find a good deal. Hang in there dedicated couponers!!
I have a question…I went into walgreens last night and purchesed 4 right gard deoderant, which were bogo in there ad, and then i used 2 bogo coupons it should have been free right? When i went to check out the lady there percided to tell me that cant happen you cant walk away with everything being free so i ended up paying five dollars for 4 items!! did walgreens change there policy or did i just get an uninformed chasier?
Uninformed cashier… I’d take them back and ask to talk to a manager… here is the coupon policy… You can check it out the whole thing here: http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/2010/08/new-walgreens-coupon-policy.html
Buy One, Get One Free Coupons
* When items are featured in a Buy One, Get One Free promotion, up to two coupons can be used against the items being purchased, as long as the net price does not go below zero for the items being purchased.
* Sales tax must be paid for any Buy One, Get One Free coupon offers, if required by applicable state laws.
The coupons also states up to $4.49 and the body wash is $4.99… My walgreens changed the price of the free one to $4.49, so I had to pay .51 cents for every 2, for a total of $1.02 for 4
There is a Coppertone manufacturers coupon in the Albertsons summertime coupon book. It doesn’t say Alberstons anywhere on it, can I use it at Walgreens, where Coppertone is on sale?
