Each week I’ll compile a list of the best freebies and sweepstakes that are available!
A few words of advice:
- Create an email account for “freebies”. Use this email for freebies, and you won’t have to give our your personal email, and have your personal account spammed with the emails from all of these companies. I get over 200 emails a day from companies I’ve signed up to receive freebies from. I don’t want to have to sift through all of those when I’m looking for an important email from FabuLESSly Frugal!!
- Don’t give out your personal phone number. And don’t give out anyone’s number by mistake. I use my actual area code, then 555-5555, so (208) 555-5555. Using the 555 insures it’s not someone’s actual number. Giving your phone number out to these websites authorizes them to call you. Even if you are on the National Do Not Call List. HOWEVER, if you are entering a Sweepstakes, it is important to give your real phone number, so they can notify you.
- DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER. Ever! If you have to give them that kind of information then the Freebie is just not worth it. I won’t be posting any that ask for this info, but should you find a freebie, keep it in mind.
- Samples take time. Your mailbox will start filling with wonderful freebies after about 4-6 weeks. Some can take up to six months. Don’t get upset with the company sending the freebie, be gracious, and try to say thanks! Also, after I sign up for a freebie, I try to forget about it, so I get a surprise each day in my mailbox

Instead of giving out a fake phone number, I signed up at k7.net to get a free phone number where they can call me and leave a message.You get to leave your own greeting, just like a phone voicemail. It sends the voice message to my email where i can listen to it. It’s awesome. I highly recommend it.

It’s kind of crap that they require you to give them your phone number anyway… They can contact you with your email. They can send you a sample through in you regular mail. I’m even ok with it if they ask me some questions like birthday and if I’ve ever used their brand. I understand they are trying to do a little marketing research here, which I think is a fair trade off for a sample. But what good reason could they have for wanting your number other than to sell it or bother you?…
I saw on one of the freebies where it stated they were required to ask you your birthdate and phone number… that it was a federal thing… who knows
I just know they can’t call me at 208-555-5555, so
