It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men)

To anyone in the Twin Falls area, I just talked to the store manager and he informed me that he does not order the hot sale items until late Tuesday or early Wednesday so expect to see more empty shelves. He also said that by the time he orders alot of items are out of stock in the warehouse because the other stores beat him to the order. He does not think that they will have the Purex Crystals in stock before the coupons expire the warehouse if still out of stock. Just thought I would give the heads up!!!
Thanks I to am in Twin Falls. I guess we are getting the short end of the stick!
I was told by an Albertsons manager that there was not going to be anymore Crystals because the product line has been canceled. Has anyone else heard this?
Was at TF Albertson’s last night and couldn’t even find a deal to use my doublers on!! Ridiculously empty shelves! Completely ticked me off as I am 45 miles from there. This is why I never shop there. It is just not worth the trip.
I am new to Twin Falls and was amazed to learn there is only 1 in town! I got there Monday morning and everything was already almost gone. Is it always like that? Or was it just a hot week at Albies?
that’s how it is most of the times, not just this week
Kelly, that is frustrating! Here is a post that may help you on your next shopping trip… i’ts titled, “How to Avoid Leaving the Store Empty Handed”. Hope this helps!
http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/2010/05/fabulous-coupon-tip-tuesday-how-to.html
Will there be doubles this Sunday?
Probably not… they usually don’t do them 2 weeks in a row… BUT we haven’t heard anything official, so keep your fingers and toes crossed!
It’s Easter Sunday so it will cost more to but anything in the paper this Sunday, I don’t think we are even having coupon inserts.
several blogs posted that this Sunday there will be NO inserts at all because of Easter
You’re exactly right… there will be no inserts. Our post regarding this is going up today.
$.40 cents off 4 Campbell’s soup coupons are EXPIRED… be careful!!! You can still buy the expired coupons on Ebay! But the stores won’t take them!
AND the $.30 off 4 are $1.49 for 15, making the coupons 10 cents each…
Which means, you really are only saving $0.20… off 4!! So Five cents each…
Yes, I didn’t think the price of soup and the cost of the low value coupons was worth even posting an eBay link about. Thanks for doing the math Becky!
Hmmm, I’m seeing they don’t expire until May 15th? http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/database?couponname=campbell%27s%20great&cvalue=&sourcedate=&source=0&expired=0
I have (15) of the $.40/4 Campbell’s coupons if anyone wants to trade. I don’t have an Albertson’s near me, so I won’t use them. They do expire 5/15.
Also, I have lots of $.55 off Lays coupons that will work well with the BOGO sale. They expire 5/1.
email me at amy jim 2003 @ bellsouth. net
Thanks!
The Miracle Whip link sent me to their Facebook. I liked them and no coupon. Hmmm…anyone gotten the coupon?
What size of Kraft Mayo or Miracle Whip is going to be part of the deal? I have .75/1 22oz. or larger coupons…….
It states 22 or 30 oz… it’ll work!
Great! Thank you!
I’m not seeing the McCormick coupon on the link….is it just me or is it gone?
If your talking about the McCormick spice coupon link to Red Plum’s website…it’s gone. I think it was on there last week. I missed it too~
Went to Albertsons today (Edgewood, wa) and the Hawaiian rolls were on sale early. The cashier saw that I had them and told me to come back tomorrow. I had her ring them up and the the came up on sale. I used my $1 off 2 coupon and my double coupon from Albertsons. final price was $2.98/each for the big pack of 24 rolls.
Hi, can someone explain something here, I’m fairly new to this site and don’t understand for instance: Dole Canned Fruit $1.29/$.79? what do the two different prices mean? Thank u to whomever can answer this.
There is an instant savings when you buy 10 items, so the second price is a prorated amount assuming you buy all 10 items. The savings is $5, so they divide that by 10, which equals $.50, and subtract that from each item bought.
Thanks Stephanie! Sorry that I didn’t spell that out better in the post!
Yes, this. The price of the item will scan at $1.29 and once 10 items from the sale have rung up a $5 off coupon will add to your total. The price of the items remains the same. I was confused too, thinking that maybe after 10 items the price would change and I could add an extra item or two, but no, the price doesn’t change, just a $5 off coupon will appear on your receipt.
HTH!
For the Huggies deal is the best deal to do the Jumbo packs with the $2 coupon or the box with the $3.50? I have no idea how many are in each and was hoping someone else did (size 4 or 5) THANKS!
As far as I can tell, 27 in Jumbo, 64 in the box, size 4… size 5 is less… So, you get 10 more diapers in the box…
So, $0.17 per diaper in the Jumbo pack, (when you buy three (81 total), and use 3 coupons)
or
$0.16 per diaper when you buy a Jumbo pack and the box ((91 total) and use the $3.50 and $2 coupon)
Both scenarios are PLUS the cheapest filler you can find
Does that make since?
I have four $3 off huggies and four $2 off huggies coupons that huggies actually sent me. They are for any huggies product. What would be the best way to work the deal? I could use them all for wipes even since they are for any product. We have twins so we really go through the diapers and wipes. LOL
That would make for some really cheap wipes!
all three albertsons stores in my area was wiped clean…..all i got was rainchecks.
wiped clean of what? things that ended today? that happens frequently and is quite a bummer but good thing you got rainchecks!
i went on monday late morning, the day after the doubles came out..,
basically got rainchecks for all the “hot” items:
pasta
orange juice
oreo fudge cremes
wheat stix
bisquick
homestyle kraft mac/cheese
Capn Crunch
(purex crystal still not available-got that on raincheck last week)
hopefully doubles will come out again before rainchecks expire and shelves are restocked.
Maybe check back Sunday morning if you can. I know my stores stock the shelves Saturday night while they’re closed.
really does look like i need to shop the morning the doubles come out. =]
just to inform people, I have bought several coupons from couponDede.com, and have been very happy with her shipping/fast delivery. I noticed she has many coupons for the dole fruit, diapers, wipes, etc…great place to purchase them other than ebay.
Yes she is the best coupon clipper I have ordered from!
So I’m new to this but was wanting to do the diaper deal. I have lots of coupons but in the as it said to get the catalina the cost was figured after manuf. Coupons. In that case you’d have to buy 4 packs. Can someone clarify?
cost is b/4 coupons. I did it this morning w/ one big pack, one jumbo, and 1 gerber food and got the catalina….now if I could just find some more size 3 so I can do more transactions
Just a heads up on the diaper deal. I did several transations this morning and when I bought the big pack of Pampers and then a jumbo pack of pampers and the gerber food of course, I not only got the $10.00 back, but I got a $5.00 pampers coupon for a purchase of ANY Pampers diapers or wipes (purchase must be greater than $5.00). Total Bonus! I was wishing I had bought all pampers.
transactions…sorry!
So not to sound crazy but you did this deal on the Pampers brand and not Huggies right?
If you did the Pampers deal was your savings as good as the Huggies deal?
Can anyone tell me if any of the Boise stores have the purex crystals in stock???
Nope. they don’t expect any in for awhile because the warehouse is stil empty
Ok thanks.
I want to get some stuff for the local crisis pregnancy center and was wondering if the similac formula is a very good deal. I am not really familar with buying formula and the prices. Thank.
Yes it is! It’s cheaper than the Costco brand at Costco!
Is the Dole fruit a stock up price even w/o the coupons?
YES!!!
I have a question about the diaper deal, In the Albertsons ad it says “Minimum purchase requirement calculated after manufacturer coupons redeemed.” In the example scenerio her total was only $30.96 before coupons, does this mean it wouldn’t work only buying the 3 packs since the total would be under $30 after coupons?
Although the ad states this, it isn’t the case. I did this this morning and my total was only $20 after coupons and I still got the $10 cat.
I was wondering this too. I tried to do the Dryers Smoothie/Shake deal and I didn’t get the $4 catalina back, I noticed the same fine print on the diaper deal too. I’m scared to try it and then end up not getting the catalina.
I did both the diaper deal and the $4 ice cream deal and got the cat for both. My total was way lower than the $30 and $12 with my coupons…
Ok i”m going to try this tonight! I hope it works for my! What happens if I don’t get the catalina? Can I get my $$ and coupons back?
When does the diaper deal expire?
It ends on the 26th.
Has anyone earned the 10% Easter Reward? I thought I had my transactions right by doing the diaper deal and other misc. groceries. Spent over $50 but didn’t get the 10% reward at the end.
I received a 10% off coupon.
I didn’t do it but wonder if maybe b/c of the diapers…sometimes there are exclusions. Haven’t looked at the ad as of yet to see if there any.
I went to the Albertson’s on Fairview in Meridian today to do the diaper deal and the cashier informed me they were told last night that the diaper deal is after coupons are factored in and that the catalina won’t print unless you hit the $30 after coupons. I ended up not buying any because I didn’t want to pay that much. Has anyone else had this problem? I wish all the Albertson’s were on the same page because it sounds like it has worked for others…
I would try a different store. Albertsons doesn’t control when catalinas print, the catalina company does.
I went to the Albertsons on Glenwood and State St last night and was able to use the $2/25 and all 3 diaper coupons and the catalina printed fine. My first total was $25.77 (I had picked up a few extra things in this transaction). On my second transaction, I used all of the coupons plus my $10 cat from the first transaction. My total was $12.22 and the catalinta printed again just fine. So feel free to go to a different Albertsons (or even just to a different cashier) and go for it. It should be fine!
I work at that store and I’m not sure where they got that info. The $30 has to be reached pre-coupon total. Maybe there was a misunderstanding when the deal was explained to the cashier. Next time that happens ask for a manager to see if it can be figured out. I bought the pampers using a coupon and still got my catalina.
Hey Guys – this just in from our favorite grocery manager at Albertsons Five Mile and Overland!
Hey guys,
Just wanted to let you know I got a hold of some coupons that make the Pepsi deal this week a little better. I have $.55/1 12 pack of Pepsi products. So the deal would actually be $9.80 when you buy 4. The original price in our ad is 4/$12 on the Pepsi. I have a lot of coupons and they will be at the register for everyone.
Thanks,
Damien Hill
Grocery Manager
Albertsons #160
Thanks for the list! The colored stars really help me as I’m just learning to shop/coupon at grocery stores.
I went to albies to do the diaper deal. the first Q I gave them was the $2 off $25. it came off just fine. then after all my other Q’s went through the register automatically added the $2 back on because I was now under $25
Is anyone else having trouble finding the following coupons out of the inserts?
Zatarain’s – $.75/2 from the 4/17/11 RP and $1/3 from the 2/13/11 RP
Wheat Thin Stix – $1/1 out of the 4/17/11 SS
I can’t find any of those coupons. Am I missing something?
@Sarah – my bad… I forgot to note on the post which coupons we didn’t get. You can always search the Master list of all the coupons in the Boise inserts here: http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/coupon-insert-lists/idaho-insert-lists/idaho-insert-coupons-master-list
Not sure how many folks read the comments on older posts, but I thought I’d mention this good deal I found today …
Jimmy Dean sausage crumbles are on sale at Albertsons this week (thru tomorrow) for $3/bag. Use a $1/1 mfg coupon from jimmydean dot com and a store coupon for $1/1, so $1 per bag.
My store coupon came in an email. I’m not sure how widely available they are, but if you have access to them, tomorrow would be a good day to use them.
