I went to the Rite Aid on Main Street in Meridian today and they were out of the 3-in-1 Purex and when I asked for a rain check the cashier told me that they have been taking the $3/1 coupons for the regular Purex bottles all day. So I went and grabbed two of those instead. The price for those were $5.99 and were B1G1 also. So with the coupons I got free laundry detergent! Here is what the deal looked like.

The best part is that the bottles hold enough for 32 loads of laundry and the 3-in1 containers are only for 20 loads. I’m always OK with getting more for less money!
I tried the Purex deal last night and the cashier would not let me use 2 of the $3 off coupons, she said I could only use 1 because I was getting an item for free. I told her I had done similar transactions in the past and the scanner never beeped. She said it wouldn’t beep in this situation. She told me they had changed their coupon policy and she even knew of a clerk who got fired for taking 2 manufacturer coupons in this scenario. Has anyone heard of this? Needless to say, I am going to try a different rite aid today and see what they say.
Rite Aid’s coupon policy specifically states that 2 coupons can be used on a B1G1 sale… it is a good idea to print out the policy and take it with you when you shop! Hope you had better luck at a different store.
I love shopping with COUPONS!! Rite Aid just PAID ME $3.04 for 7 Purex 3-in-1 detergents, not to mention the 65 free candy bars, the 6 Free full size things of Johnson Baby wash, and the 5 free packages of Destin.
Done all with coupons, and Rain checks!!
