How is the Halloween Costume hunt coming? I told you my son wants to be a dinosaur, well I have had trouble finding a costume his size that is not Barney! {He definitely does not want to be Barney} If we can not find a suitable dino costume, he has conceded to be a vampire because he wants to wear fake fangs. This will be much more affordable to put together on the fly! Phew.

Sometimes homemade isn’t so cool. But you could pull off a homemade dinosaur. Colored sweats, make scales with styrofoam, cardboard cutouts, paper plates something you can manipulate to being stiff. Paint. And use Velcro or safety pins. You can get a beanie and put the scales on there too. If it’s really cold (like it always is in eastern Idaho) you can get those cheap onesize fits all gloves and improvise those as well. There are fabulous ideas all over the net, but parents magazine and family fun are favorites of mine. I just saw the cutestidea for Mario and luigi all homemade and probably mostly what is at home. Another great place to find costumes in your town is Other Mothers!! The usually have a ton, although they might be more picked through now since they already had their costume debut weekend.
