Pingback: Albertsons Double Coupons and Grocery Ad Deals | Fabulessly Frugal … | Cheapskate Coupons
So I woke up from dreaming about coupons and couldn’t get back to sleep. So I figured okay I’ll get some on a document and then try again to sleep. If these don’t make sense to anyone else I apologize, it’s late and the way I word things for me might not make sense to a sane person LOL. By the way I am saving the DelMonte cats I get from the veg to use on the fruit. I will also be going out to the car after every 3 transactions to put stuff away then come back in, I might even go to more than 1 store.

If anyone see’s any mistakes let me know it is about 4 in the morning and I’ve been up since 2:30 doing this and printing coupons.
BTW I come from Horseshoe Bend so do as many transactions as I can since it is 40 miles round trip to my nearest Albies. Now off to try and sleep and dream about something other than coupon scenarios.
You started this right when I finished! Great job!
Teri, I believe that you have to buy 20 Yoplait yogurt cups in order to get the $2 catalina.
Her $2 Cat comes from the 6 veggies.
Thanks I was not clear though. The 2.00 cat is for the DelMonte Vegetables
Buy Del Monte Canned Fruits, Vegetables and Tomatoes Between 09/29/10 and 10/19/10
Buy (4) Get $1.00…or
Buy (5) Get $1.50…or
Buy (6) or more & Get $2.00
That is what I get for posting at that time of day.
Well, I tried for the $2 catalina on the Yoplait cups and it did not print.
But, I apparently the limit of 8 on the in-ad coupon wasn’t being enforced. I bought 24 and the cashier scanned the coupon until it beeped, 24 times later. Used 3 $1/8 coupons with doublers and got all 24 for $3.36, or $.14/ea!
I had calculated ahead of time paying 8 @ $.39 plus 16 @ $.60 (sale price) for $12.72 total, minus the $6 in coupons (3 $1/8 doubled), minus the $2 catalina for a net price of $4.72 or $.20/ea. But I did even better, so no complaints about not getting the $2 catalina.
Look for $.50/2 tearpad coupons in stores on the Honest Tea. They’re on sale for $1, so double the coupon for free tea.
Susan,
Wouldn’t that make the tea .50 each? 2 tea @ 1.00 each for 2.00 then 1 coupon for .50 is 1.50 then 1 doubler at .50 is 1.00 for 2 tea or .50 each. Which is still a good buy I would think.
So sorry — you’re right on the math, but the coupons are $1/2, not $.50/2.
Oh that makes sense. Might have to get some for when tea drinking people visit.
On some of the deals posted, like the salad for $1.88 then double the $1.00 coupon to make them free, isn’t the $1.88 price a store coupon? And isn’t the doubler a store coupon? Are you able to use 2 store coupons on one item? If so, I need to go stock up on coke & salad!!
That is true. It depends on the store, but most Treasure Valley stores I have been to won’t let you use a doubler and the in as coupon together. So def a YMMV, but worth a try!
The MF is for Artisian blends..those are not on sale.
Alyssa – you are RIGHT! I started doing store coupon deals with doubles and then remembered that you can’t combine a double with a store coupon. Looks like I missed one. I’ve updated the post. Thanks!
Canning item Qs expired. Pooh!

Has anyone’s Albertson’s told them that you have to break between each transaction now, not just between sets of three? Mine told me that in WA the last time I used doubles.
I have been told that you are only supposed to do ONE double page per “visit” so I do one, go to the car, go back… it is time consuming, but it keeps certain checkers off my tail… IF I can go at night time (usually Monday or Tuesday Night…) I can do 3 pages / transactions in a row with my friendly checkers. BUT by then, most FREE items are wiped out… sometimes I will then get a rain check and wait for doubles next time or if it is a decent price I will get it without doubles.
I’m in WA and no one has told me I can’t do 3 in a row.
Seems to be one of those “YMMV” situations. I’m not aware of any in Idaho that do this.
Vancouver, Wa here.. and the two Albersons I go to are totally different on their rules… one told me the same as you were told, the other has stacks of doubles at the registers waiting for our coupons… that’s the one I go to now! I still stick to the 3 transaction rule.. and let people go in between if necessary..just to be polite!
American Beauty pasta $1.59, double the $.55/1 from today to make them $.49. Also some boxes of rotini have $.50/1 peelies.
I found a couple of good deals.
Dr. Pepper 2- liters .88 wyb 3
$1/3 hang tag
Doubler
$.64 for 3 2-liters or approx .21 each
Campbell’s V8 Soup $2.59
$1/1 SS10/3 or Sept or Oct All You
Doubler
$.59, and when you buy 3 you get a $1 CAT, so only .26 each after catalina wyb 3
I did this deal twice just to confirm the CAT and it says Thanks from Prego Italian Foods, but I got it both times, so it should work.
The Old Meridian Albertsons (by BigLots!) ordered in 1500 bags of the Tyson products AND they have the $1 coupons at the Meat Dpt. AND if you don’t have doublers, you can get them at the cash registers…
WOW Brenda! Thanks for sharing!!
When I got to my albertsons in twin falls they have signs everywhere telling customers they can do three transactions then have to go and get in line again. They aparently don’t enforce this rule since I saw a lady there that would do three transactions then go back through the store to get more. Never took her already bought stuff to the car. The manager had said she cleared out three things off the shelf by not going out and coming back in causing other customers to complain but never did anything like tell her the rules and make her comply. It mostly meant that the rest of us that do comply did not get the free stuff like spray n wash cause she put all of them in her cart and kept just getting back in line. Makes me wonder why they have rules if they are not to be enforced.
I guess it is all in how you interpret the rules. If Alb is telling customers, “they can do three transactions then have to go and get in line again,” then it sounds like she is obeying their policy by only doing 3 transactions and then getting back in line. Does “have to go” mean go outside?
that’s how they did it at the Five mile store, three transactions and get back in line. It would be a pain to me to have to go out to the car and come back in. I always make sure to leave stuff on the shelves though unless there’s only enough for one transaction to begin with.
Stephanie,
I was at albertsons in Twin this morning and saw those signs. I took it as you just had to get back in line, not that you had to go to your car. However, I only had 3 trans for today. Cashiers were GRUMPY at me this morning though.
Hormel pork tenderloins (27oz) are BOGO at my Albertsons (NW Boise). I used 2 $1/1 coupons, doubled, for an oop of $6.99 for two, or $2 per lb. I thought that was a very good price.
The coupon was an internet printable, but I’m not sure where it came from, and it may not be available any more. But if you have it, now would be a great time to use it.
Susan – is this the one? https://www.hormel.com/updates/coupons/default.aspx
Nope, I’m not seeing it there. It was for the raw pork tenderloin that are shrink-wrapped (so to speak) in a tube-like shape. It was probably from coupons.com, redplum.com, or smartsource.com because that’s where I print coupons from most often, other than bricks coupons that are directy linked from here or another couponing blog.
The Mentos Gum coupons from today = free gum! (with possible overage… its a ymmv with the overage, but free at least)
Nature Valley nuc clusters buy 4 at 1.75 each

nuc? I meant nut- oops!
Hi, thanks for this one…where was this Nature Valley Q located? Thanks again!
$1.00/1 Nature Valley Granola Nut Clusters from GM 8/8
Thanks Mel!
So question on the Yoplait: Do you have to use the coupon in the insert to get them for $.39? Because if you do then you can’t use your doublers with them, because it’s a store coupon, correct?
Kadie – doubles are considered a “store coupon”, as is the in-ad coupon that gets you the yogurt for $.38/each. You won’t be able to combine them both (although, of course, you can use store coupon AND manufacturers coupon).
From coupons.com you can print a coupon for 40 cents off 6 Yoplait yogurts, then double that. The instore coupon was limit 12, so I had to print two of these coupons. Makes them about 25 cents each.
i am using my albertsons coupon for 39 cents each, and buying 12. Then I have a 50/8 to double and a 50/4 to double, making the total 2.68 or just over 22 cents each.
I’m not one to use Albertson’s coupons and go to Walmart, but I have a quick question. Walmart does take the doublers, correct? I need to get some salt for our water softener and wanted to use the $1/2 from a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking of using one set of 3 doublers to help in getting the bags. Thanks for all you ladies do. I know the rest of my sets of doublers will be used at Albertson’s.
A far as I know Walmart is still taking doublers. Their policy says they will take all competitors coupons.
the walmart in spokane will not take competitors coupons! so lame!
Does anyone know how much the Yoplait Smoothies cost right now at Albertsons? I’m going to have a bunch of doublers and was wondering if they would be real cheap or free with doublers.
They are usually like $3.50. I will check on my lunch break.
Winco has these smoothies for $1.98. Not sure how much at Albertsons, but WalMart’s are $2.88.
Thanks John C, Winco is better deal by far!
I checked Albertsons and they were $3.99! YIKES!
I saw a 75 cent coupon for Nestle chocolate chip cookies in Sept or Oct’s All You magazine, then doubled it.
I saw this on a rebate blog. Thought I would pass it along, It would be perfect for Christmas or the upcoming holiday season!

Thanks Helen!
The Albertsons on Cherry and Meridian (not sure about the others) have some hamburger helpers for $1 per box. You can print a 75 cents off three coupon from coupons.com. The coupon says “do not double or triple”, not sure if Albertsons will double it or not. Even if you don’t that comes to 75 cents each. If they will double it, you are down to 50 cents per box.
No problem doubling, but do be careful, only some varieties are $1 each.
THanks John. And YES Albertsons now doubles all the do not double or do not triple coupons.
I was reading the post and cannot find where the Kellogs Miniwheats coupons are found. Also where did you find the coupon for $1.00/8 Yoplait?
Thanks
I am buying cereal at Albertsons today. 4 boxes of honey nut cheerios @ 2.50 each – $3 instant savings when you buy 4 = $7 – $1 off 2 coupon, doubled and another $1 off 2 coupon, doubled = $3 for four boxes of cereal…just 75 cents each.
Aren’t the Tyson coupons expired?
No, the Tyson coupons don’t expire until 11/30. The Cherry Lane Albertsons by BigLots has the $1 off coupons available in the meat department for the asking and they had a bunch of Tyson left and more in the back, so it you don’t see it, ask them. They also had doublers available if you didn’t have any.
Rachel..mine expired 9/30.. I was thinking the same thing!
Brenda: Besides going to the Cherry Lane Albertsos where else can I find the Tyson coupon?
It’s in the Albertson fall coupon booklet
K I am confused on the 10$ cat. On the ad it says the minimum purchase requirement is calculated after manufacturer coupons and the scenarios listed it does not look like the 30$ is being met. Any clarification would be appreciated.
Kelli-
You have to get to $30 before tax and with PC price and then you can use coupons and your catalina will still print.
Is PC pre coupon? Sorry I want to make sure I am understanding right. So if I get 30$ worth of merchandise before tax and then use my coupons and say the total after coupons in 23.00 I will still get the 10$ cat?
am so jazzed. I have a new favorite Albetsons the one on Eagle Rd. I went there and did 28 transactons going out to the car after every three and no one blinked an eye. I have to do mine all at once because it is 40 mile min round trip for me living in Horseshoe Bend. I really don’t like adding miles going to several stores to that.
I got 90 cans of DelMonte Veg, 30 Cans of DelMonte Fruit, 2 packs of Rhodes Warm and Serve rolls, 4 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch, 6 boxes of Kellogs Miniwheats and two gallons of milk for 40.63 incl tax and I have a 2.00 catalina left.
My husband came out to help unload and said “How much did you SPEND!?” I told him and he was floored. I ended up with .15 cents in gas rewards so I even filled up for him.
That store only gives you one set of doublers though right? Where did you get that many doublers?
I recycle newspapers that people don’t want or need. Plus I have friends that I can not interest in couponing and they give me theirs. They think I’m weird about it. I use the newspapers to start fires in the wood stoves(after I pull any important things) and I am looking into how to roll your own newspaper “logs” without having to buy a roller. Buying a roller is not frugal in my book. You can use the logs to supplement your wood in your stoves. I also use newspaper around the house for messy jobs, cleaning etc.
Also I used only used one sheet of doublers for every three DelMonte transactions because i only bought 6 DelMonte items at a time so I would get all my 2.00 catalinas. I bought 20 DelMonte coupons on eBay so of my many transactions 20 of them were just DelMonte. The coupons were for 1.00 off 5. I actually got 6 each time for maximum catalina effect.
My store here in Vancouver, WA has doubles at the register…also at the Customer Service Desk..
If you’re talkng about the one on Eagle/McMillan Rd., they have the doublers at the registers. They will do as many transactions in a row as you want, but some will have you do 3 and just get back in line if there are people behind you…no need to go out to the car at all which is nice. That’s by far my favorite store. Five Mile/Ustick is the same way.
Had fun today!! 24 jars of Ragu (.33 ea), 24 yoplait yogurt, 4 NV nut clusters and 12 can of del monte fruit cocktail (oh and the 2 pkgs of snowballs my son through in cuz he was the helper)!! Total oop was 22.00 (rounded up) and I need to call about my NV cat that didn’t print. I thought it was a pretty good trip. The del monte fruit is definitely not a stock up price but it added some variety for us. Will probably use the rest of my coupons on veges and tomatoes.
The Ontario, Oregon store stocked very well for the Del Monte sale. The manager said that he ordered over 5,000 cans and has over 150 cases as of (tonight) Monday night. If your store across the boarder is out of stock and you want your veggies come buy without sales tax. It could make your trip worth it.
I am confused about the price of the Del Monte fruit price. I ended up paying $.72 a can. Did I do something wrong?
$1.39 x 6 = $8.34
$8.34 – $4.00(doubled coupon & cat)=$4.34
$4.34/6 = $0.72 a can
How do I get them for $.49?
I’m not real good at building scenarios so I make it as easy on myself as possible. I had 20 coupons and this is how I used them. I used 15 of the coupons to buy vegetables and paid cash for all vegetable transactions. These transactions came out to $1.70 per transaction for 6 cans of vegetables and I got a $2.00 cat back for each one. So I had 15 $2.00 cats. I then used my last five coupons on fruit. I used 3 cats per transaction so the fruit ones came out to .78 cents per transaction after the coupon, doubler, and cats. Here are the transactions for the veg and fruit as I wrote in my notes to me.
Vegetable Transaction
6 veg * .59 = 3.54 –
1 Q * 1.00 = 2.54 –
1 D * 1.00 = 1.54 but it was 1.70 after tax
Fruit Transaction
6 DelMonte Fruit *1.39 = 8.34 –
1 Q * 1.00 = 7.34
1 D * 1.00 = 6.34
3 Cat * 2.00 (6.00) = .34 it was actually .78 after tax
Then I used the cats that I now had from the fruit transactions to help cover the cost of my cereal transactions.
I find if I do not use my cats right away I forget them then it’s like losing money.
