GARDEN!

April and May are my favorite time of the year – it’s time to start thinking about my flower beds and vegetable garden!!  I pretty much ALWAYS purchase my flowers from Fred Meyers!  And here are a few reasons why:

On Saturday April 10th, they will plant your flower pots for you at no charge! Just purchase the flowers and pots (pots are optional, you CAN bring pots from home), and they will plant them in Black Gold Potting Soil. FREE!  This is from 9am to 4pm.

ALSO – The  Geranium (and Fuchsia) Starts are on sale for $.75 each.  I purchased about 20 of these last year and kept them in my kitchen (you could keep them in an insulated garage too) until Mothers Day weekend, when I planted them.  They were very small when I planted them, but by July they were full grown and did AWESOME!  I LOVE geraniums!  They are soooo easy to care for!  And I for one LOVE their earthy fragrance!  :)   This year they are also selling strawberry starts for the same price.

What other fab deals are you finding at Freddys?

    Hi Guys!

I’ve been a long time reader of your site (via RSS), and it’s one of the first I look at each time I log on to Google Reader – I love it!! I’ve noticed a really frustrating change recently though, so I thought I would ask you about it. When viewing your updates in Google Reader, your posts are now appearing with only the first 3 or 4 lines of text, and in order to read (or print) the entire post, I have to click into your website. Was this intentional on your part? Having to do this takes extra time that I don’t always have, and makes it much more difficult to sneak a peek while I’m at work (and trying to keep a low profile!!). Please tell me there’s a way to fix this problem… Thanks, and Happy Easter!!

I agree with what Kelly said! i love your site, but I do subscribe to other sites via RSS. None of those sites seem to require a click-through, so I’ve been scrolling past your posts to check those, just because it’s faster. I hope this is something you can fix!

    Thanks for your great site!

Thanks gals – Nope! It’s not something that was intentional AT ALL! I love my google reader and hate “post summaries” as well! Despise them!!! Over the weekend, our designer figured out the issues we were having with our old RSS feed and fixed it… but in turn, something must have triggered the feed to just do post summaries. I’ll be working on getting it fixed… hope it’s a quick one!

    Thanks for your loyalty! :)

YAY! I think I found the problem. All future posts should show the full feed. Thanks for letting me know!!

Was in Freds on Saturday (hopefully the price is still the same). Caress body wash was at 4.79 with $2 off in store coupons hanging next to them. Combine it with your $1.25 off coupon (sorry I clipped and don’t know the insert), and it seems like a pretty good deal for this stuff….I personally have never gotten it cheaper and it’s one of my favorite kinds!
