Fred Meyer Accepting Cellfire eCoupons!
I just got an email from Cellfire notifying me that they are now working DIRECTLY with Fred Meyer! WOOT! For those of you who know what Cellfire is, you’re doing the happy dance, right?!
What is Cellfire?
When you sign up with Cellfire, you will be able to simply save Cellfire offers to your Fred Meyer Rewards card and redeem at checkout by swiping your card. Yep, it’s that easy!
Just go sign up with Cellfire. All you need to do is enter your cell phone number. Have your Fred Meyer Rewards card handy because you’ll need that # to load the coupons on to your card.
Then when it comes time to check out, you simply swipe your card at check out. Right before you pay the coupons will come off your total. This is something that you’ll be able to do at self check out as well! As with anything new, just be prepared for a few bumps. 
I’ll do another post after I’ve done this myself at the store. If you’ve already done it, leave a comment with any input!

Once you have tried this I would love to know if it works in multiples. Say I bought 4 of one product. Then scanned my card, would the coupon come off 4 times or only once? TIA
Tia–it only comes off once. Cellfire only allows you to load it to your card one time, so once you use that particual e-coupon you can’t load it a second time.
Also, be sure to have the checker scan your paper coupons before scanning your Fred Meyer card. For some reason, sometimes the Cellfire coupons won’t come off if you scan your card first. I don’t know why–it’s weird!
I am curious if I’m going to get a bunch of text messages with this. My cell phone plan is so old, I still have to pay for each text message, so I need to avoid junk texts.
I am wondering the same thing as Carol. I have to pay for texts, so was wondering if this is why they use the cell phone number?
I’ve never gotten any texts from cellfire. I think I get an email the day after I use one of the ecoupons, telling me that I used it, but since I already know that I tend to delete those right away so I can’t be sure that they send them. =) I know Shortcuts does send emails, so I could be getting those mixed up.
But anyway, in answer to your original question, to my knowledge they don’t send any texts. I think the reason you sign in with your cell # is that you can also load ecoupons to your phone. I haven’t done that yet, though, so I’m not sure how that works.
You can turn texts on or off by clicking on Settings at the top of your Cellfire page. I have them turned off (I think that might be the default setting) and have never gotten a text from them.
Thanks for the great info and all the great advice in the comments! I just loaded my card for Fred Meyers. I wish I had some of the other stores in my rural area. I passed on this info to my daughter in Washington. She will be able to use the Safeway deals. Thanks much for all your Fabulessly Free information!
I am not seeing nearly as many cellfire coupons as you are posting. Any clue as to what I do to see those? There are some good ones on there. I have 11 show up on my page…?
Seems like you don’t have to register and give them your cell number. I just entered in my rewards card number and put the coupons on without having to do anything else.
Can I use ecoupons from cellfire with manufacture coupons for the same item?
