Apparently someone has abused this deal and ruined it for EVERYONE!
A Cincinnati couple cleared out 20 stores and ended up buying 800 bottles of Purex for free after coupons and Catalinas. Some stores noticed the abuse and called the catalina company. The catalina company STOPPED the catalina promotion!

It all began on October 8th, 2008. Cathy and Monica started this coupon blog to help friends and family learn about their new money saving hobby couponing! Since then they have taught thousands of women (and men) 
Why do people do this??? This is not living frugally… I think that this is downright greedy! Sad, what in the WORLD are they ever going to do with 800 bottles of purex?!?!?
They will turn around and sell the free 800 bottles of free Purex to friends and family or in a yard sale and make around $800 if they charge a dollar a pop is what they wold do with it I am sure.
I remember this deal. I did it twice and got the catalina, and a third time later in the week but it did not print. I guess this is why!! (That may seem like a lot of detergent but it’s long gone—I have six kids!! I do 1-2 loads every day. That was disgusting about the 800 bottles of detergent. I was at one of our local food pantries earlier today donating food and they have exactly 0 bottles of laundry detergent/household cleaners.)
